Okay, starting to slack again on the blog posts…I needed a kick in the butt to get moving again after having a bit of a head cold; But, I am finally starting to feel back to normal again. One thing I can say, not feeling well for a period of time always makes me SO grateful for the times that I do feel good and healthy!
I wanted to share some blogs with you that I draw inspiration from. You may expect me to share blogs that are photography based, but they are not. The first blog is called “Blogging to Bless” and is written by a mother of 3 children from my church (Heart of the Shepherd). She is very much an inspiration to me. She is also a breath of fresh air, because she expresses a real life view of juggling being a Christian, a mother, and a wife. It helps me to know that I am not alone in these struggles of everyday life.
Another blog that I read called “Remembering Eli” is written by another friend of mine that goes to Heart of the Shepherd. She actually just started her blog, but I know it is going to be an awesome one and I can’t wait to watch as it unfolds. It is about her son, Eli, who went to be with Jesus when he was just 2 months old. I can personally say that Eli changed my family’s life and I will never forget him.
So, maybe it is Taboo for me to talk about my faith; After all, I might offend someone, I know. But I would not have my talent of photography if it wasn’t for God. I can honestly say that I do not like to take credit for beautiful photographs that I have taken. Sound weird?!?! Who doesn’t want complements for their hard work? I just know that my hands are His hands and this is why the beautiful photographs follow.
I want to share something that only my husband knows. I say a prayer before each photo session. I pray that God will allow me to photograph this….family, child, newborn, or couple….in a way that will show them how blessed they truly are.
With that all being said, I would like to give back to my community some how. I would like to give a deserving family a complimentary photo session so they can see that, even in hard times, they are truly blessed. Please email me at pbsabreena(at)gmail.com if you know of a deserving family. A family that may have had a really tough year. I will also enter everyone that nominates a family into a drawing for a session with no session fee ($125 value) and an 11×14 printed portrait.
Thank you to all that read my blog and to all my clients. You make me love my job so much and I pray that, God willing, I will be able to continue to do this work that I love so much.
