It feels weird sharing random things on my blog, but I thought it might help others get to know me a little better. I am excited to share some accomplishments and some goals I have set for myself in the the hopes that by writing them down I will be forced to follow through. My husband has been pushing me to start exercising and taking better care of myself for my family. Fast food is a downfall of mine. I know it is horrible for me, but it is quick and easy and I have never lost my McDonald’s french fry craving that I had with my 2nd pregnancy.
So, step 1: I am eating less (yes, less, which still means some) fast food and have pretty much cut soda out of my diet.

On to step 2: I have begun working out at home. I am actually enjoying it! It is MY time…my time just to myself. It is now my time for self reflection….my time to pray….my time to motivate myself to do something I have been putting off…my time to not hear “MOM, can you get me some milk….MOM, can I eat something….MOM, I am bored”

Step 3: Drop some inches and pounds to look good for my family portraits this spring. I am making gains in this area. I have lost 1 pound so far. I just took my measurements today so we will see how that goes within the next month.

What I am finding is surprising me. I was starting to fall into the winter Blahs; however, working out gives me more energy and renews my motivation to be the best I can be in all areas of my life. I think the biggest challenge for me was getting started. I had so many excuses…”I don’t have the time to workout”, “I don’t have the energy to workout”….blah, blah, blah. 😉

Another thing that I am working on is growing my hair out. My daughter and I decided we are going to grow our hair out and then cut it to donate to Locks of Love. I was inspired by a friend of mine who’s daughter did this. So it will be interesting to see what I will look like with long hair again. I had really long hair all through high school and into collage. I kept it long until I got married and then 3 days after I got married I had it cut off. It has never really been past my shoulders since that time. I found with 2 kids shorter hair was just the way to go. It is time for a little change though, so let the hair growing begin. I thought it might be fun to post some photos from time to time to show how it is growing out.

One other thing I wanted to share with you is a new website. It is . This site is so great because if I run across an outfit or something that would be great for a photograph I can just “pin it” here. This will give my client’s a better visual of what kind of outfit combinations work great for photographs.

For example, how cute would this outfit combination be?
