Welcome

My name is Sabreena. I am an on-location, natural light photographer. My passion is capturing the natural interactions of families and turning them into lasting memories and pieces of art. Photographs have a way of bringing us back to a time or place that can be easily forgotten.

As the owner of Photography by Sabreena, I want to provide you with the ultimate Custom Photography experience. This means that I travel to you and take the photographs in a location where you and your family are most comfortable - thus resulting in natural, relaxed, and fun family portraits. I specialize in maternity, newborn, children, family, high school senior, and engagement portraits.

Below you will find samples of recent sessions, fun facts about myself and my family, and an assortment of other random fun "stuff". I really enjoy receiving comments, so please let me know you are out there!

Enjoy, and please don't hesitate to contact me. EMAIL: pbsabreena(at)comcast.net

Military Family; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

What a great family I got to meet this past weekend. They are stationed in Germany and were here visiting for a month with family. They have already seen their gallery, but I have some favorites that I wanted to share. They are such a fun and beautiful family and were totally willing to hang out in the fridged temperatures.

Not sure what I did to get this reaction, but I LOVE it!

Wedding Slideshows; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

This is my very dear friend’s wedding. She was been patiently waiting these. There are SO many photos that I had to break this up into 3 slideshows.

Bad Blogger…; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

I have been a bad blogger! Thank goodness for Facebook I was able to share these with this wonderful family already.

With my daughter’s 1st birthday party this past weekend and her baptism this up coming weekend things have been a little crazy to say the least! I have 5 boxes of photos ready to ship out to clients and 2 galleries to finish editing before I am caught up - YEAH!

This family was so fun and I totally love their style!

Birthday Celebration; Howell, MI - Photographer

I will be out of the office for a few days without email connections. We are going to my mother’s house for the weekend to celebrate Shay’s 1st birthday. I will return emails first thing on Monday morning.

And because I can’t write a post without photos, here is my family - my life - my world. These were taken by a wonderful photographer friend of mine and my wedding photography partner, Leah of LCH Design/Photography.

There are more coming as we did more photos today. Also, on a side note, I realize I should of dressed Shay in more pink because, frequently, where ever we go she is being mistaken for a boy. This never happened with Sarah because she always had so much hair so this is a new experience for me and I am not one to dress her in frills - maybe I should glue a pink bow to her head :D .

And here is one share of my dear friend’s family. What a blessing it has been to get to know them!

Photobucket

Their family of 3 is soon to be a family of 4. We all are praying that they get to travel before the Chinese New Year to get their little boy soon…

Okay….this photo is far from perfect…but I LOVE it! I think they are such a beautiful couple and it is totally classic that little G is running around and I happened to capture her in the bottom corner of the photo.

Growing like weeds; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

I keep saying that my children are growing up too fast, but what is even more unbelievable is how fast I see the kids I photograph growing up. I have had the honor of providing this family with photographs since there first little boy was about 6 months old and now he is a big brother!

Here are some photographs from just 8 short months ago when Baby M was just a couple weeks old…

Sweet, Sweet Josie ; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

I have been mulling over what to say in this post. I wanted to say just the right words to capture what a true blessing this little girl is to this sweet mom and dad. She is so perfect, from her sweet nose to her sweet toes!

There is a poem that came to mind when I was thinking of sweet Josie’s post, but I couldn’t remember it exactly or who it was by. I came across this poem and I am not sure that it is the one I was thinking of, but I still thought it was fitting:

I never thought I could love someone
The way that I love you
It’s impossible to put into words
But I love you that much, it’s true
I loved you before I saw your face
And before I knew of your charms
But when I looked into your eyes,
You found your place
Deep in my heart and safe in my arms.

Baby C ; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

What a great weekend! It was beautiful and unseasonable warm which allowed us to do some sweet photos of this little man on his front porch. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture some beautiful photographs of this little guy. It was so wonderful to see the love in this families eyes! They are truly enjoying every moment with their new addition.

Mini Engagement Session; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

This is the wonderful couple that let my daughter ride their horses. It was such a fabulous time! We also did a mini engagement photo shoot. I am hoping to go out in the spring for another engagement shoot and include some of their horses in the photos as well.

I had fun playing with some textures on these ;)

Sarah rides a horse…; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

What a wonderful day we had as a family on Saturday!!! One of Sarah’s biggest dreams came true today….no, she didn’t become one of the Disney Princesses and meet prince charming and get married an live ‘happily ever after’ - as she tells me she will one day….but she DID get to ride a horse!

In preparation for this day, I asked her what color she thought the horse would be, and in her very sweet and completely serious tone of voice she stated, “PINK!” :D

Well, the horse wasn’t pink, but he was a pretty amazing and VERY gentle guy!

And finally getting to ride all by herself!

Notice the look of pure joy on her face in every single one of these shots?!? It was an amazing thing to watch. And in case you were wondering where Shay is (who will be 1 on Tuesday by the way :( ) She was in the barn being entertained by the barn cats! :)

I also did a few engagement photos for Matty and Tyler, but I will save those for their own special post.

Urban Princess; Howell, Michigan - Photographer

YEAH! YES I AM SHOUTING WITH JOY! :D

My wonderful neighbor totally gets my style and trusts me, which is both wonderful and scary.

Her 3 year old has such a great personality and is such a joy to photograph, however, she is 3 years old and has endless amounts of energy like most 3 year olds. Anyone that says that photography is an easy job has not photographed many 3 year olds! To me I love the challenge of waiting for just the right moment to snap the shutter.

I don’t usually show out-takes, but to prove my point I had just a half second to capture this shot:

And this is the shot that directly followed:

I love doing urban shoots because it gives me an excuse to play with some textures. Here are some more from the day.
